Do You Speak English

After I spent two years in the USA, I can remember the first day for me in this country .it was the hardest day in my life because I had many problems since I got in the air port. for instance , when I arrived to the airport, I’ve seen all people speak different language .I could not understand what they were talking about and what they need from my when they asked me about my information. Meanwhile I couldn’t communicate with others when I needed something such as when I needed to ask where can find the fast food or what I should go to find my luggage, however when I remember that day, that make me knock myself out to learn English. Subsequently, when I went out the airport, I stopped taxi to drive me to the address which my friend gave me before I came. The taxi driver asked me to explain for him precisely where is the address located ,but I couldn’t respond for his question, so he just drove me to somewhere and told this is the address which I am looking for then he left. I started to look where is the address, besides that I knew I was in the wrong place. I didn’t know what I have to do, who I can ask him direct me to home. I just sat in the chair next to the street, look people around me, absentminded. While I was thinking ,tow police officers came to me and asked me , what’s my name, what I was doing there , what I want go, but I didn’t understand them thus they took me to the police station. When I got in the police station, one sentence I said to them” no English” with incomplete sentence. They told me to not worry. After half hour they brought translator, I explained to him my story and he told them. Then they picked me to the right address. Although it was a hard day for me, but it showed me how important it is to learn English.
